Restoring your Edge Favorites from a backup.

The Edge browser is fast, does not have a lot of plugins/extensions, thus makes it a relatively secure browser for Windows 10.
However there still seems to be a bug in Edge that initialises the Edge browser. You than lose your favorites and favorites bar(s).
How to restore your favorites in Edge
If you got a machine backup just follow this procedure:

Since the Fall update of Windows 10 the old favorites folder is no longer used and an ESE Database file is used instead.
The old favorites file location was:
C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Favorites
